Jack is played by Nicholas Hoult. He's a new actor to me even though according to my research he was part of X-Men: First Class (2011) as Hank McCoy/Beast and had more than 10 other movies already.
In the Kingdom of Cloister, Jack and Princess Isabelle (Eleanor Tomlinson) were fascinated by the legend of Erik, an ancient king who defeated an army of invading giants from a realm in the sky by controlling them with a magical crown.
King Brahmwell (Ian McShane) wants his daughter Isabelle to marry his adviser Lord Roderick (Stanley Tucci). This is the reason why she sneaks out of the castle, wanting to be free and seeks shelter from the rain in Jack's house.. And the rest is history.. LOL!
I must say I love the whole story, the twist, the action and of course the pretty face of the Nicholas Hoult. The part of the story that I don't like about is the grossest part wherein the giant is going to cook Elmont (Ewan McGregor). Ew!
I remember a scene wherein the King has to decide to give up his daughter for the sake of many. This was also the example of the Pastor of Victory Christian Fellowship is his speech (I don't know what they call it on that part when he delivered messages), wow, what a co-incidence.
Watch it and be a kid again. There's nothing wrong to be a kid sometimes.
