Starbucks Planner 2014

Wow,  I never expected that it's been 4 years already of having a Starbucks planner. Starbucks was just a place of a simple get together with friends and kinda became the best hangout! First, I just wanted to have at least 1 planner of Starbucks then I've haven't noticed, it became a collection!

Color green (my favorite color) is out in 2014 planner, so I was thinking of Black but on December 11, to my surprise, Rich handed me the Starbucks Planner 2014 with color Magenta. Um, wait, I don't know how to react! To be happy coz it's a present or be sad coz I don't like the color? I don't know! Of course I'm thankful coz I don't have to buy more drinks to get a planner. I did not break the seal for me to have a chance to change the color but SM Megamall refuses to change it for the reason it was not redeemed there. Sad but its okay, I can work with it, besides its a present, it would be enough!

The Limited Edition Starbucks Planner 2014 is available in four (4) colors:  yellow, brown, magenta and black and it comes with a coffee icon bookmark. The four coffee icon bookmarks are Coffee Bean (yellow), Kape Vinta (magenta), House Blend (brown) and Starbucks Cup (black).

How  to get this planner?
From November 2, 2013 to January 8, 2014, ask the cashier that you want to collect stickers for the planner then you will be given a promo card. You must accumulate a total of eighteen (18) stickers compose of nine (9) Christmas beverage plus nine (9) core beverages (except bottled drinks). One (1) sticker is awarded for each Starbucks beverage purchase.

And accordingly, you can also get one instantly of these planners by simply buying a P5,000 load in your Starbucks Card or P5,000 worth of GCs. Hmmmp, I can't confirm this info but you can inquire about it at the counter!

This year's choices of Christmas beverage are:

Toffee Nut Latte (personal favorite) - has the rich, buttery flavor of sweet toffee combined with toasted nuts, blended with smooth espresso and velvety steamed milk. Topped with whipped cream and toffee-flavored sprinkles.

Gingerbread Latte - freshly baked gingerbread combined with perfectly roasted espresso and steamed milk. Classically topped with whipped cream and ground nutmeg.

Peppermint Mocha - combination of espresso, steamed milk, bittersweet chocolate and peppermint flavor. Topped with classic whipped cream and crushed candy cane.

A Traumatic Homecoming!

I love going to Zamboanga every now and then because I consider this my home. I have my families there to pay a visit. This time, my mother requested me to go home coz my father was sicked. I was thinking of staying for good since it's been awhile of having no work in Manila but something happened that made really think of going back to Manila.

On September 9, so happen to be my birthday, was most traumatic incident of my life or birthday ever. MNLF attacked Zamboanga City and held hostages. As early as 5AM a neighbor shouted my sister's name to wake us up saying that the city is under attacked! We can see the smoke of fire from the near Barangay Sta. Catalina, the ground zero. Our location is Barangay Tetuan which is next Sta. Catalina. We can hear exchange of gunfire. That very day, I almost can't breath, something like the one I saw in a movie of people having an anxiety attack! I really can't explain how traumatic it was. From morning 'til 5PM we were just practically crawling around the house. Stayed in a place were the wall made of cement.

The city was shut-down. The airport, seaport and even bus terminal were closed. So basically no incoming and outgoing in the city. When the public airlines had an special flight schedule on September 19, I fixed my schedule immediately for me to return to Manila which suppose to be September 11.

Before this, I toured the city and wanting to post something to promote the City in my blog but I think I can't do it now. Not a good time! Instead, I just post my me time at Paseo del Mar and with my Father at Fort Pilar and my visit to RT Lim.

I started collecting Starbucks City Tumbler when somebody told me that this is the best thing to collect when you love to travel, and that was 2010. I didn't notice that I've already been to 8 places with Starbucks Stores and luckily with City Tumblers. All the tumblers in the Philippines, I am the one who bought it.

Linkin Park Living Things World Tour

Actually, I joined the facebook and twitter contest by Scala Events ‏ hoping to win a pair of tickets to Linkin Park Living Things World Tour, just like Carly Rae Jepsen's concert ticket twitter contest, but this time I did not win. But I must say, the things you wish might come along in a different form. This time, we got a pair of tickets from a friend's officemate, take note, it is in Lower Box A that is worth PHP6,880.00 how cool is that, huh? It was located very near to the stage. Sweet!

The concert was superb! They play all our favorite songs. Wow, I can't say anything but thank you, Linkin Park for a great two-and-a-half hour of rock-n-roll show. You guys are all awesome! You did not disappoint your audience. Hope to see you again soon in Manila, a little bit sooner than 9 years. I can't imagine that their last visit here in the Philippines was in June 15, 2004.

Things to remember when going to a concert (specially in MOA Arena):
1. Do not bring a huge bag/back pack. If you do, they want you to leave your bag outside then claim it after the show. So for a thousands of people claiming their bags, don't expect to be going home early.
2. Do not bring professional camera coz you can't take them inside not unless you sponsored the event. Good thing, I do not have one!

Last July 18, I joined the twitter contest of Araneta Center (@AranetaCenter) hoping to win 2 tickets for Carly Rae Jepsen's concert, unfortunately I did not win. Two days before the concert, I got an email and a call from Rizel (Araneta Center, Inc.) saying, "Congratulations you won (1) one ticket to Carly Rae Jepsen's concert" I got excited about it only to realized it was just one ticket. Aw! Ang nasa utak ko kc sa twitter contest ako nanalo, un pala sa Concert Lover Survey na sinalihan ko din a week ago :(

Since I am not really a fan of Carly, I only knew Call Me Maybe of her songs, I've decided to give my ticket to someone who like her more than I do. Ang problema nagpapa-antay sya pauwi. Kya sabi ko bili nalang din ako ng ticket, toinks PHP795 ang General Admission. Patay! Sige na nga, tatambay nalang ako sa Starbucks, makakatipid pa ako nun.

Swimming at La Mesa Eco Park

 Ice scramble (PHP10 treat ni Mimi) sa gitna ng ulan.. Yum!

Ayon oh, one down! Napagod sa kakaakyat baba sa hagdan at sa kaka-jump-shot!

Family affair nina Mimi at naki-join kami (Ako at si Mae). Hahaha.. Kung wala si Mae baka ma-OP ako. Buti nalang! Nilakad ko pa naman mula gate hanggang sa loob. Ang layo kaya. Pwede namang mag-tricycle pero pinili ko lang maglakad. Akala ko kc malapit lang. Ang layo pala. Pero nilibang ko nalang sarili ko sa pagpicture picture sa daan para di ko masyadong mapansin ang layo kahit tagaktak na ng isang drum ang pawis ko.

Ang main purpose lang ay mag-swimming. Dalawa ang pool area sa Eco Park, pero this time isa lang ang gumagana kc under maintenance daw ang lumang pool so doon kami sa bago. Doon sa bago, merong dalawang pool. Isang pambata at isang pang-matanda (Competition pool) 4ft to 8ft deep.

After few hours of swimming at picture-picture, nagbanlaw na kami, pero pagkatapos na pagkatapos magbanlaw, pinaalis na ang mga tao sa pool kc kumikidlat. Bawal daw maligo ng kumikidlat at tapos bumuhos ang napakalakas na ulan. Ano ba yan. Panira ng moments ang ulan. Pero masaya parin kahit na medyo napaiksi at di na kami nakapasyal sa park dahil sa ulan.

Ang daming pagkain nilang dala. Pagdating na pagdating ko pinakain na nila ako ng paborito kong pansit, tapos pasok sa pool tapos balik kain mangga, tapos tanghalian, tapos ligo tapos kain na naman. Pumunta pa kami sa bahay nina Mimi para mag-videoke tapos kain na naman. Daming busog. May pasalubong pa pala ako kay Mimi, natuwa naman ako, isang pabango at starbucks mug. Nakakatuwa naman! Thanks much!
